The movie starts off quite well with excellent restrained performances by full cast including Amitabh and Akshay. The Amitabh fits prefectly in his role of a self-made, high-profile, hard-working buisnessman. Akshay deviating from his usual action/slap-stick-comedy roles, has done a commendable job as well educated, new generation son of Amitabh. The first half of the movie is good with well written script and good characterization. Its the second half of the movie that reduces it to just another typical bollywood drama with loud acting, unrealistic situations and too predictable happy ending. So overall 6 out of 10. There is nothing much to write home about as far as the story of Ek Rishtaa goes.
